SpaceX pushed its Starship test campaign forward this week, rolling Ship 41 out to the Massey's testsite for its first cryogenic proof test. This marks critical structural milestone that comes just days after sister vehicle Ship 40 wrapped up its own testing at the same facility.
The vehicle is the third Block 3 Starship upper-stage prototype to reach this stage of testing. Assembly took roughly 70 days from nosecone and payload bay stacking to completion in Mega Bay 2, with final stacking wrapping up on May 20, 2026. Ship 41 is expected to launch on Starship Flight 14.
With the cryo milestone already cleared in June, the ship is now likely moving into the next phase of pre-flight testing: Single and/or all-engine static fires. 
Notably, Ship 41 could become the first Starship upper stage caught by the launch tower, provided Flight Test 13 meets its objectives. That flight is expected to fly Ship 40 alongside Booster 20, with Ship 41 then following on Flight 14 paired with Booster 21.
The back-to-back activity underscores SpaceX's continued push to keep multiple Block 3 vehicles moving through the pipeline simultaneously as it works toward Flight 13, currently slated for late summer.
