Even before the second Block 3 Starship, S40, has left the ground, its successor has left the Highbay. Ship 41 has rolled rom the production site to the Massey's test facility at Starbase, Texas, marking its transition from assembly to ground testing.
S41 was first spotted in May 2025 with its nosecone sections taking shape in Starfactory. Stacking of the nosecone and payload bay was completed in March 2026, and further stacking work in Mega Bay 2 began in late April. Until now, the vehicle had not undergone any testing and had no engines installed.

The move to Massey's puts S41 on track for the next phase of qualification: Cryogenic proof testing. This test campaign is designed to verify that the stainless-steel structure  can handle the extreme temperatures and pressures of actual spaceflight operations.

S41 is expected to follow a timeline that we have seen with past Starship upper stages: Cryogenic proof testing at Massey's, a return trip to the production site for Raptor engine installation, and then a final round of static fire testing before it's cleared for flight. 

The ship is currently slated to fly on Starship Flight Test 14, likely paired with Booster 21. Depending on how Flight 13 performs, S41 could become the first ship to attempt a tower catch. 

For now, all eyes are on Massey's, where the test stands that were rebuilt after last year's Ship 36 explosion continue to put each new Starship through its paces before it's trusted anywhere near a launch pad.
