Mission description
NASA's SpaceX Crew-9 mission will send astronauts Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov to the International Space Station (ISS) to conduct research and operational tasks alongside the current ISS crew. Hague will serve as mission commander, and Gorbunov will act as mission specialist, continuing the NASA-Roscosmos partnership. In February or March 2025, the mission will also bring back astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who have been on the ISS since June after their original return vehicle, Boeing's Starliner, experienced technical issues.
